Taking the Gospel to Mongolia

The total population of Mongolia is about three million people. About 45% of the population lives in the capital and the rest of the nation is sparsely populated. The city of Arvaikheer where our crusade will take place has a population of 27,162 but we will be inviting people to come from the entire Övörkhangai Province which has a population of 115,684.
Mongolia is a landlocked country with China to the south and Russia to the north. Much of the country is covered by grassy steppes. In the south is the Gobi Desert, and to the north are mountain ranges.
Mongolia is famous for being the birthplace of Genghis Khan who founded the Mongol Empire that became the largest land empire in history. His grandson, Kublai Khan conquered China and established the Yuan dynasty.
Mongolia is 53% Buddhist, 38.6% Atheist (due to a communist past), 3% Muslim, 2.9% Shamanism, and only 2.2% Christian. Many of the Christians in Mongolia are first generation believers so there is a great need for teaching on evangelism and outreach. Even though the population of Christians in Mongolia is small, they are enthusiastic about sharing their faith.
We are asking God to help us lead many people to Jesus in the nation of Mongolia.
